Honda 20 long shaft 4 stroke outboard motor, professionally painted orange to deter theft. Built 2004, used April to September 2005-11. Type BAMJ, S.No1010243

For use with remote steering, not included, and with remote control which is included. 12 L Plastimo tank and fuel line.

Used by a sailing club as safety boat for youth sailing approx twice per week for approx 8hrs per week, mainly at low revs. Has been replaced by a RIB which came with an engine.

Professionally serviced every year except this.

Fitted with plastic prop guard from new but prop has sand abrasion at tips and very small nicks caused by small stones.

I bought this outboard motor 5 yrs ago from a mechanical technician who worked
for Nissan UK. He stripped the engine down to check and renew any suspect parts
and found zero wear on the cylinders and pistons and he replaced the following
parts with genuine Yamaha parts as can be seen on the receipts.

sold the motor to me. I also had a boat project and I also have never had the
time to complete it which is why I am selling the motor.

The motor has been in my workshop since I bought it 5 yrs ago and never tested
by me. Oil has been sprayed into the cylinders every few months and turn over
by hand.
When I came to finally start it after 5 yrs the motor started first time of the
key .

This week I have made further checks on the outboard and
am happy to confirm that all 3 carburetors internals are new and the water
pump is new which authenticates the receipts as listed.

Here you are looking at a Tohatsu 9.8 outboard motor.
It has had very little use, I sold my old boat with the intention of getting a new one but with work commitments I’ve never got round to it.
It comes with the fuel tank and fuel lines.

It was washed down after every use.

Buyers may come and view before buying and I will put it in a wheelie bin full of water to show you how good of a starter and runner it is.

You can see by the photos it is spotless inside the engine compartment.

Honda BF5 Outboard Just Run In

Other than a few minor surface scratches on the case from loading this motor into my car boot, this outboard is in mint condtion. In total it has no more than 20 hours use (just run in really). It was bought in early 2008 and has been used only occasionally and mainly in fresh water. When it has been used in coastal waters, it has always been fully flushed out straight after use and has been painstakingly greased and cleaned internally (see internal photograph). Recently serviced using genuine Honda parts and oil, this engine always starts immediately and has never stuttered or let me down.

As good as a new one and looking for just half of the price. Legendary Honda reliability and quality. Be quick and grab a bargain! Available to collect in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Cash preferred. Will meet half way for the cost of the petrol. Happy bidding!

You are looking at a 1996 Yamaha 55Hp two-stroke. The motor came with my boat and is surplus to requirements as I have a new motor. THE ENGINE IS A SEAHORSE MODEL WHICH MEANS IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT YET POWERFUL IT HAS ITS ORIGINAL DECALS BUT ONE SIDE HAS SOME MARKS ON IT FROM STORAGE AND THE PAINT WORK HAS A FEW MARKS BUT IN NO WAY EFFECTS THE WAY IT RUNS.  THE ENGINE HAS ALL THE USUAL REFINEMENTS SUCH AS THE CHOKE AND FUEL TAP ON THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE BESIDE THE STOP BUTTON THIS ENGINE HAS NOT GOT A KILL CORD FEATURE BUT CAN BE INSTALLED EASILY IT ALSO HAS THE BENEFIT OF HAVING AN EXTERNAL FUEL CONNECTION FOR LONGER DISTANCE JOURNEYS BUT THEN ENGINE IS EXTREMELY ECONOMICAL ON FUEL  IT HAS THE THROTTLE ON THE TILLER WITH A TENSIONER ON THE HANDLE WHICH WORKS WELL. THE ENGINE ALSO HAS A FEW TILT POSITIONS ALSO ALL WORKING  IT HAS A TRANSOM ANGLE PIN FOR THE OPTIMUM ANGLE SETUP FOR YOUR BOAT. THE TWO ORIGINAL TOGGLE CLAMPS WORKING FREE AND EASY TO CLAMP IT ON TO YOUR TRANSOM.  STARTS EASILY AND RUNS VERY SMOOTHLY (SEE VIDEO BELOW)  IT PUMPS WATER VERY STRONG WITH NO STRANGE NOISES OR GRINDS ETC IT HAS FORWARD AND NEUTRAL GEARS TO GET REVERSE JUST SIMPLY SPIN THE ENGINE 180 DEGREES.  IT ENGAGES GEARS WELL AND QUIET.
